In honor of Veterans Day, on November 3rd, our MCDC team came together to provide complimentary dental care to uninsured veterans in Battle Creek, Detroit and Harrison. This day-long event was made possible by grant funders, Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) and the Michigan Dental Association (MDAF). The event focused on treating the most urgent need and providing treatment for one of the following: dental cleaning, fillings, and extractions – at no cost to our veterans. It was the fourth time in our MCDC history that we had such a special experience.
Our Free Dental Care Day provided the following impact:
Overall, we served 79 veterans! From the patient experience team supporting registration, to our patient service representatives welcoming our veterans upon arrival to our OUTSTANDING clinical teams that provided care – we couldn’t have done this without our amazing team.
That day was about more than dental care. It was about honoring those who have sacrificed so much for our country and listening to their stories with compassion. It was about teamwork and all the ways our team Exemplifies Excellence.
